How Do You View The World Differently Than Others?

This is a FUN interview activity that you will LOVE!

Here's what you do:

Play Interviewer for the day!

  1. Print out the interview questions below.
  2. Print out the "Illusions" activity page located at: www.PlanetGiggle.com/Illusions.htm
  3. Circle 3 Illusions on the page that you would like to use in your interview.
  4. Now that you have the questions and the Illusions page, on a separate sheet of paper, draw a straight line down the center of the page, long ways and short ways on the front and back side of the paper.
  5. You should have 4 sections on each side of your paper (total of 8). Now, number the sections 1-8.
  6. Each section will house all the answers for the corresponding question. Example, in section 1, you will write your name and your answer to question 1, as well as each name and answers from the 5 other people to question 1. Then, do the same in section 2, 3, etc.
  7. Start off by answering each of the questions yourself.
  8. Now, interview 5 other people by asking them the same questions you answered. Put each person's name and answer in the corresponding box after your answers.
  9. Good Luck and HAVE FUN!

Questions:

  1. What is your dream?
  2. What is your biggest fear?
  3. Name 2 people you admire most and why.
  4. Name 2 places outside of the United States where you would like to visit and why.
  5. Name 3 famous people (living or dead) you would like to meet and why.
  6. From the 3 circled pictures on the Illusions printout, ask which of the 2 visions (each has 2) the person sees 1st. Can they find the second?
  7. Do you like school? Why?
  8. Do you see the world as:
    1. A fun place to live with new things to learn and adventure around every corner?
    2. A scary place to live with danger lurking around every corner?

After you have interviewed all 5 people, look over all of the answers. How did they differ from one another? How did they differ from yours? What did you learn? If you'd like to share, we'd love to hear from you! and tell us about your interviews and what you learned! We might even post your comments on the site for other Kids to read! :)
